18th Biennial Conference on the Biology of Marine Mammals
October 16th, 2009

Multi-Electronique (MTE) Inc. wishes to thank everybody who visited its booth during the 18th biennial conference on the biology of marine mammals, on October 2009 in Quebec City.

Attendees were able to have a closer look at the archetypal acoustic instrument: the AURAL-M2, the autonomous sound recorder used by renowned researchers, and thereby, discover other achievements of the company.

You can start a free download of the new version of AURAL Setup 2.7 in the Download center.

Moreover, a new firmware is available for your AURAL-M2.

MCU V4.0.1 (For PCB V4.0 and +)

Many changes have been done to improve AURAL-M2 firmware functions. We highly recommend to get the upgrade. Interested customers, please contact Multi-Electronique to know update terms.

A delegation from Argentina visit Multi-Electronique
May 1st, 2009

An Argentinean delegation visited the Lower St-Lawrence during the week of April 20th to 24th. This visit identified the possibilities of partnerships with Rimouski 's institutions and firms.

The establishment of an oceanic observatory (inspired by the St-Lawrence Global Observatory concept) and the creation of a research institute in Comodoro Rivadavia (like The “Institut des sciences de la mer”) was the plan of Argentineans. Meetings with institutions and firms in the sciences and marine technologies fields were on the agenda of the Argentineans.

They came to get expertise and technologies” explains Serge Demers, DG of ISMER. On Monday, the Argentineans delegation will meet with representatives of the Marine biotechnology search center.

The delegation visited The Maurice-Lamontagne Institute , The “Institut des sciences de la mer”, Multi-Electronique (MTE) Inc. and Sygif international.

Business meetings also include a visit to Matane for windmill development and visits of maritime construction sites.

A part of Multi-Electronique into Onondaga submarine
April 15th 2009

Preparations to introduce the submarine/museum to the public are going well. About twenty instruments such as radar screens, sonar and panel boards for torpedo launch were restored.

The technicians of Multi-Electronique (MTE) Inc. reponded to restore formerly non-functioning equipment. These displays will give the visitors the feel of being on a working submarine.
